<dcterms:temporal>There was an effort to find and include all surveys targeted to EMM respondents, including the few ones fielded prior to 2000. To the best of our knowledge, we have included all those available from the mid-1990s onwards</dcterms:temporal>
<dc:coverage>We have covered only those subnational surveys with a sample size 150 or larger. We can consider the included surveys to cover a great deal of the potential ones existing at the subnational level in Spain</dc:coverage>
<dc:coverage>The topics of the survey are particularly well suited for the study of the integration of EMMs in the country and the surveys include a sizeable number or EMM respondents (even if smaller than 400). Unfortunately, we have not had enough time to thoroughly incorporate all of the surveys of this kind</dc:coverage>

Representative of the population: Yes
Sample design - full information: Respondents were selected with the RDS method, as follows: 1. Initially, four Romanians were selected, from different areas/networks of each town. Individuals were recruited in such a manner that they would be different with respect to their region of origin or with respect to their period of stay in Spain (less than five years / more than five years). Each community included at least one female, in order to give women the possibility to be subsequently interviewed. An important selection criterion was that the first respondents would not know each other (not live in the same apartment building, not be recommended by the same person, etc.) in order to reduce the probability that the four networks in each town might overlap. Furthermore, all candidates (including those to come) were eligible only if they lived in the investigated community and were at least 18 years old. 2. At the end of the questionnaire, each respondent was asked to recommend three other persons for interviews. Subsequently, all recommended persons specified other possible respondents (three each) until the desired number of questionnaires was achieved. Recommended persons were not eligible if they lived in the same household as the person “selecting” them or together with other respondents (in order not to double the information that was already collected). For the same reasons, a maximum number of two respondents from the same household were selected. 3. Each respondent received a sole code that allows the establishment of his/her position in the network he/she belongs to (the recruiter and the subsequent recruitees can thus be identified). 4. In case the networks were closed or the number of contacts decreased very much (due to refusals, lack of respondent contacts, temporary unavailability of candidates), new “seeds” (network knots) were recruited, so that the number of questionnaires would be achieved during the established period (the maximum number of seeds in a town was 8 in Torrejon de Ardoz, where three of the networks were blocked after only a few interviews)
