6 and 2.9: Prior to 2005, the Former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (including current Serbia and Montenegro) participated in MICS. The first reported date in which the Former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia participated in MICS is 1996, whereas the first reported date in which current Montenegro participated in MICS is 2006. 2.8: Since 1996, there has been 6 waves of the MICS. In 2013 and 2018, in addition to the normal survey (designed to have a nationally representative sample), there was additional survey conducted with a separate sample of Roma settlements. As such, the 2013 and 2018 waves should be understood as covering/including 2 separate surveys: 1 that has the nationally representative sample and 1 that has a sample of Roma settlements. For Montenegro, only the 2013 and 2018 surveys conducted with Roma settlements had a confirmed EMM sample size of 300+ respondents; therefore, the other survey for 2013 and 2018 plus the other waves for Montenegro have not been included in the EMM Survey Registry

Sample design - full information: A total of 201 EAs were identified with at least one Roma household, and most of these (114 EAs) had only one or two Roma households. Only 33 EAs had 10 or more Roma households (these EAs accounted for 73% of all the Roma households in Montenegro). A total of 63 EAs had five or more Roma households (accounted for 85.5% of all Roma households). All the Roma households in the 33 Census EAs with 10 or more Roma households were interviewed - which covered nearly three-quarters of all Roma households in the country
