      <notes subject="data collection">7.3-7.7a: A paper questionnaire was prepared in French to assist the interviews of the North African sample and allow them to follow the questions as the interviewers read them in Spanish. In addition, an introductory letter was sent in Spanish, Arabic and French. In terms of language skills, interviewers only spoke Spanish. Interviews to the Roma sample were held in Spanish. 7.9: The questionnaire consisted of ten sections. All respondents were asked the first eight sections. However, some questions within these sections were relevant only for specific respondent groups or where location sampling was applied. Filters were applied to a large proportion of the questions. The figure listed in 7.9. is the approximate number of all question items included in the EU-MIDIS II core questionnaire. 7.8: 45 minutes (North African sample) and 27 minutes (Roma sample)</notes>
