Survey include subgroup of majority pop: Yes
Survey designed as a general population survey: No
Sampling strategy - closed: Random sampling/selection (i.e. probability sampling, of some kind)
Sampling strategy - open: Random sampling was carried out, having in mind: gender (distributed as equal as possible), age 18+ years (spread as wide as possible), and geographical location (scattered across Switzerland). The LINK Internet Panel is the only 100% CATI-recruited panel in Switzerland that also contains people who are currently unreachable via landline or mobile only (slightly underrepresented, though). Neither self-selection nor multi-source sampling is possible. The recruitment of the participants takes place entirely within the framework of telephone studies representative of the population. These samples are (usually) randomly selected, i.e. the household is selected at random, the target person is selected according to representative quotas (usually age, gender and employment)

Representative of the population: Yes
Sample design - full information: From the lists of addresses provide by the Federal Office for Migration and the Surveys on individuals and households (SRPH) of the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (SFSO), prospective respondents were initially contacted by postal mail to ensure that the required sample could be reached. The prospective respondents were then asked to fill out a questionnaire online or phone in for a hard copy. They were also given a deadline to complete these steps; if a respondent failed to meet the deadline, they were re-contacted by phone. From The LINK Internet Panel - persons were invited to the survey if, based on the available panel basic information, they most probably belonged to the sought-after target groups. The definitive allocation to the target groups was made by a series of screening questions
